How it works

No DevTools, no device toolbar, no testing one size at a time. Every screen you care about, in one tab.

  1. Go to your website — live, staging or localhost — click the CodeOxi Device Preview icon and press Open preview. The page opens in a new tab on the devices you picked last time.

    • Type another address in the bar to load it on every device
    • Bookmarks and history for the URLs you test most

  2. Choose from 43 presets — iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, Xiaomi, Oppo, budget Androids, iPads and Android tablets — or add your own size and user agent.

    • Each device gets its screen size, pixel ratio, user agent and touch
    • Rotate any device; save device sets you use often

  3. Scroll one screen and the others follow. A ruler shows which breakpoint each device falls into. With a key, try a CSS change on every device at once, inspect an element, or save one image of all screens.

    • Compare two URLs (staging and live) on the same devices
    • Preview the page as people with colour blindness see it

Install in two minutes

CodeOxi Device Preview installs from a .zip while it waits for the Chrome Web Store.

  1. Download

    Click Download free and unzip the file.

  2. Open extensions

    Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and turn on Developer mode (top right).

  3. Load it

    Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder. Pin the icon from the puzzle menu.

  4. Preview a page

    Open the website you want to check, click the icon and press Open preview.

  5. Choose devices

    Tick devices in the right-hand list, or add your own with + Add custom device.

  6. Unlock more

    Bought a key? Click the icon, open the License tab, paste the key and press Activate.

Chrome asks to disable developer-mode extensions? That reminder appears for anything installed from a folder. Close it to keep using CodeOxi Device Preview. The interface follows your Chrome language: English, or Vietnamese on Vietnamese Chrome.

Is it the same as testing on a real phone?
It gives each frame the device's screen size, pixel ratio, user agent and touch events, which is what most layout problems depend on. Pages are still drawn by Chrome, so Safari-only quirks on a real iPhone won't show. Use it for fast day-to-day checks and keep one real device for the final pass.
Does it work with localhost and staging sites?
Yes. Any address Chrome can open works, including localhost and local network addresses. With a key you can load two URLs side by side to compare staging with live.
A page says it can't be shown in the frame. Why?
Some sites forbid being displayed inside another page. Inside the preview tab, CodeOxi Device Preview lifts that restriction so most sites load; a few still refuse and show a notice.
Can I move my key to another computer?
Yes. On the old computer, click the icon, open License and press Deactivate, then activate on the new one. If you uninstall without deactivating, contact us and we'll free the slot.
What happens when my key expires?
Keys last 30 days and are not charged again automatically. CodeOxi Device Preview goes back to the free plan: two devices and the free tools. We email you a reminder three days before.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 7 days of buying and we refund you, usually within 7 working days. Details are in the terms.
Does it collect what I browse?
No. The pages you preview, your devices and settings stay in your browser. Only an activated key is checked with our license server.
